Trying to cheer myself up with food. I love food, especially meat and fish. My favorite food is rice with red lentil and fried Hilsa fish, as the picture shows here:

So, yes, tell and show me your favorite food.

That's awesome to have and use your father's cookbook. It's a wonderful way to remember him. I have a crescent wrench that my grandmother bought for me when I was a child. I still use and treasure it today. It's one of my favorite wrenches. But, I still remember that I was mad that she wouldn't buy me the BB gun I wanted though. Ha! ha!

I love that I have that and many more things I kept when my parents passed away, I use lovingly with the sentimental value.  The best thing about the cookbook is that my Dad left a bookmark in on the favourite recipe page.  The bookmark was a shopping list wrote in my Mums handwriting.  Funny how little things can mean so much.

I had to look up honeysuckle on a shingle. It actually looks quite appetising, comfort food.

I can't pick just one. I have too many favorite foods.
But I had this last week for the first time in a while.

I love this meal we made up the other day. Cook up some bacon bits, then melt some butter and brown up some onion, then add shredded silverbeet, beans, bok choi and mushrooms. Cook for around 8 minutes or so, then add some minced garlic, ketchup manis, salt/pepper. This was the second time we made it, The first time without beans, bok choi and ketchup manis, but was still fabulous. Easy meal. Add and subtract whatever you want really. Eat on its own or with mashed potato or steak or whatever you prefer. I'm adding this to my camping list of recipes.

who cares
recently it would be lotus root. It can be cooked in a soup, stir-fry and even made into chips!
