Still a minority. I like to think it's healthier for your mind to meet people in real life.

That's probably true, but you can potentially meet a lot more people online and increase the chances of meeting someone special.

I agree with the OP on this thread. However I do agree some good can come from meeting people online despite all the negativities it entails. id advice 'avoiding' dating sites. Free or subscription based. In my experience, its best to just find a lot of forums for thins like this and other hobbies and interests and see what happens there. Dating sites seem to be increasingly more superficial these days.

All I'm saying is that it may well be a true quote but when you say "now find that person" like it is as simple as finding a needle in a haystack. I use such a saying because finding a needle in a haystack is comparatively easier than finding someone genuinely interested in you let alone someone who thinks you're the world to them. It is just frustrating. People say you shouldn't look for love or chase it, yet people say you shouldn't wait for it to come to you. I'm tired of waiting, I'm tired of searching and I'm only 21. Very impatient too.

The problem with me has been that in a few occasions, I was also "the world" in a woman's eyes, but she wasn't "the world" in mine. Hence, we broke up. OTOH, I have also thought other women were MY "world," but I wasn't their "world." So, we'd break up.

The great mystery for me is that I have never been synchronized with my partner. If I was head-over-heels in love with her, she wasn't in love with me. If she was head-over heels in love with me, I wasn't in love with her.

I look at couples in love and wonder how the hell they did that. lol

Logically speaking, there are billions of women and billions of men. Surely ONE of these women would feel for me the way I feel about her, right?... RIGHT? (pant pant pant pant) lol
