From the newspaper the Kansas City Star. A strange site greeted residents of a rural area of Kansas--a mobile-home resting smack in the middle of a gravel road, with no owner or resident in sight.
The Kansas City Star newspaper reported that the home was found in southern Labette County, and the sheriff's office made a request via Facebook for the public's help in identifying the owner of the mobile home. Of course, theories ran wild among Facebook users.
"Maybe they are on house arrest and needed to go somewhere," one user said.
Eventually, the sheriff's office announced that they had found the owner of the abandoned mobile home, and it was later revealed that blown trailer tires during transport were to blame for its temporary abandonment.

Easter may have passed but Mr. Bunny is still making it into the headlines. In Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, a 27-year-old man was in the process of robbing a business on March 31, when an employee tried to thwart him, the CBC reported. But the thief was armed with a Mr. Solid brand chocolate Easter Bunny, which he used to hit the employee. The shoplifter escaped but was found nearby and arrested; the employee suffered only minor injuries. The stolen merch was returned to the store.

From Orwell, Ohio: Police called the County Sheriff's Office to help them corral a drunk driving suspect--but it wasn't your typical "reckless operator," WOIO-TV reported. Twenty-one-year-old Nathan Miller was charged with OVI--operating a vehicle while intoxicated--for driving his horse-drawn Amish buggy on the wrong side of Hague road. Officers were able to get in front of the horse and buggy, but the rig did not stop; it turned out Miller was passed out in the driver's seat. While deputies tried to get control of the horse, it crashed into a patrol car. Miller was treated for injuries at the scene.

Keith Tyssen of Sheffield, England, has maintained a striking topiary he calls "Gloria" in his front garden since 2000--the bush depicts a woman lying back in the reclining position with her knees bent.
But, MSN reported, Tyssen has a problem with random drunken louts entering his yard, usually during the night, and becoming intimate with the shrub. For one thing, he said, the noise wakes him up. But more disturbing, their acts have damaged Gloria's figure.
Now Tyssen is begging his community to leave Gloria alone.
