It's funny, back then (around the same time as you, maybe a few years later), I didn't listen to Green Day...because everyone listened to Green Day.

I was a weird nerd, in the sense of, if the "cool kids" did something, I automatically didn't want to out of principle and just plain spite.

Sometimes my instincts were right, but most of the time they were less so...and in the case of Green Day, I'm glad "I came around"
