God, no. Then again, I wouldn't pay for anything virtual at all, including the supporting membership here. Say this website goes down and vanishes, that's money you never see again.
I'd rather use same money to invest in connecting offline to the people I met here. Human connection matters more, in the end, to me.
Then again, I'm pre-virtual... everything. The internet is in my mind kind of one big toy, not really real life.

Is that like the skins and stuff for video games? My son spent a fortune on that **** in that Fortnight game.
Absolutely that counts. But, woman are buying meta dresses in order to get pictures of themselves in clothes that couldn't possible be produced in real life yet they appear to be real life photos. It's cool. But.............

Oh, I don't know enough to know the cost. I'm the suspicious type, though. I have friends in computer sciences, including my best friend who works for Ubi, who always insists cost for maintaining servers are ridiculously cheap. So...I dunno. When I hear about youtubers making millions...all that stuff gives me pause before spending money. It's not like I have a lot to begin with lol

Absolutely! That's why I like when sites make paying a volunteer thing.

No. I find it ridiculous that this is a thing.

Who has the extra money to blow on this anyway?

I'd prefer to spend my money on something more tangible, in the real world, that I can keep.
The closest I would go to this would be like DLC for games, and only if I really liked the game and really thought it added functionality to it, because I'm generally against that kind of stuff. I miss the days where you bought a game once, and beyond the occasional expansion pack, that was it, you were done.

But I guess we can expect to see more of these kinds of schemes to try to artificially create value out of nothing, as we descend further into this survival-of-the-fittest, hyper-individualist a-hole timeline that's all about monetizing every aspect of existence. It's what I'm talking about - we have more and more technology, but it's just being used for either increasing efficiency for the people that already own everything, or for these dumb hustles to get money out of trying to artificially create demand and value where none actually exists. So all the technological advancements in the world, aren't helping anything if this is what it's going to be used for. It's not actually being used to upgrade the way we live, improve the human condition. It's not innovation, it's nonsense.

First I'd have to be on Meta, and I'm not on Meta. 🥴
But no. Lol.
6-pack of solid black and grey shirts at Wal-Mart works fine for me.
Unless I want like a random band shirt just for a little stylization, but on the general whole I typically can't even justify that anymore because the average price for one is the same as the average price for a 6-pack of shirts.
So basically, I'd have to be: At a show that I'm really enjoying and kinda drunk, OR kinda drunk/high and spinning some records in nostalgia.
Otherwise, yeah, I kind of wear the same like 3 or 4 solid colors with a little bit of a mix-up.

I am aware that probably sounds plain and boring, and that's part of the idea.
I don't like drawing too much visual attention to myself.
When I was younger, yeah, okay, but I was younger and didn't understand honeysuckle about honeysuckle yet with life.
As an adult? Nah. lol. I'm good bro. lol.

fresia no. In the unlikely event of me ever venturing into this Meta-verse bollocks, I'd be walking around wearing nothing put a pair of undepants and socks with a beer in one hand, and a cigar in the other.

The suppression of words, images, or ideas that are "offensive," happens whenever some people succeed in imposing their personal political or moral values on others.
