Death of a Star
Why was I so blind?
Digging into dirt so I wouldn't have to see
Now I've lifted my head to look to the skies
The death of a star is beautiful to me
A bruise burst of putrefaction
Lurks behind the torpid flowers
Radiating its strange infection
I want this dark disease to be ours
I want you broken
So that I can soothe
Your lonely dejection
Gives me reason to live
Let me save you from those drip-toothed wolves
Howling and convulsing in a drunken frenzy
You, with your fragile moth light from the moon
For you will I give all eagerly
Why was I so blind?
Digging into dirt so I wouldn't have to see
Now I've lifted my head to look to the skies
The death of a star is beautiful to me
A bruise burst of putrefaction
Lurks behind the torpid flowers
