Is this ancient Egyptian statue a sign that there really is a curse of the Pharaohs? Relic of the god of death found inside mummy's tomb and kept in museum for 80 years starts SPINNING on its own

10-inch tall relic is an offering to Egyptian God Osiris, God of the dead
It has been filmed on a time lapse, seemingly spinning 180 degrees

But some now believe there could be 'spiritual explanation' for

THE curse of Tutankhamen is said to have claimed more than 20 lives. By contrast, the curse of Neb-Senu amounts to little more than an occasional inconvenience for museum curators.

Over several days, the ten-inch Egyptian statuette gradually rotates to face the rear of the locked glass cabinet in which it is displayed, and has to be turned around again by hand.

Those who like tales of haunted pyramids and walking mummies may regard the mystery of the 4,000-year-old relic – an offering to Osiris, god of the dead – as the strangest thing to hit Egyptology in decades.

I've seen that story. Why did they put an overnight camera in the first place? Were they actually expecting something to happen?

Somebody must be pulling a prank, like in those cases of statues weeping blood.

After just a quick look it only seems to spin during the times people are going past, so first guess is just that vibrations are turning it?

^This.

The display case is mounted to the outside wall. The statue has a slightly uneven base. The vibrations caused by both footfall and passing traffic are being passed to the statue.

Amusing perhaps, but proof of paranormal activity? No...:p

Whoever cursed that statue must have had WAY too much time on his hands.

At least the Egyptians had their priorities straight (according to the back of the inscription of the statue) for bread, beer, and beef!
