The other day me and my work buddies and our manager were talking about the state of things in this country. One guy said how he was going to get out of this place before he went down the plug hole with it, as all work has become seasonal and rewarded to students for cheap labour, and most companies have packed their bags and ran for the hills already. Then our assisstant manager had the nerve to say "this country needs maggie thatcher!". Upon close inspection of her stance, eye focus and speech, I concluded that was she was not indeed drunk, or on drugs, but completely michael barrymore -- drown a man in a swimming pool -- crazy. Some might have said olympic gold medal crazy.

This kind of bollocks is exactly what screwed this country(uk) up in the first place. She focused on small companies being the way forward in Britain despite their obvious lack of sense and potential, she gave people like my familly a mortage to say "look, these peasants have a mortage", she let people buy percentages of their council house homes (emergency housing no more), she privatised everything to the point that no-one is quite sure who is who, and worst of all, worst than anything else ; SHE DESTROYED OUR MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES!

This lost so many jobs, left us at the mercy of foriegn markets and left us with an unstable future. Now with the global enconomic crisis our country has no clear way of exploiting holes in the market, as we rely to much on countries like china and india to import everything. The labour goverment in the seventies did a shite job I know, but its different to making just the working classes suffer, or trying to wipe them off the face of the earth all together. You can't have an entire country of would-be managers and executives, who will clean the toilets, who will stock the shevles of supermarkets and so on? I'll tell you who, any immigrants stiving for a better life than they had in their birth countries. These immigrants are some of the hardest working people in the country and if we are a country of equality and good moral ethics, then surely they must get equal pay to white british workers. It would level the playing field and allow white uneducated, unskilled british people to at least have a fighting chance -- the best man/woman for the job! Not the cheapest.

I don't believe in full socialist working goverments, these don't work, but the young part of my soul still believes there must be a happy medium. There needs to be more solid economic plans for the future, no more relying souly on credit and the expansion of companies. We have done this until the point where the digital figure of money actually warrants a pay cheque to someone somewhere. Now we look at the figues and say "hmmm, thats alot of money we owe, can we take a loan out maybe?".

Time for the most cliche thing ever "this country needs radical change!"

So there you have it maggie, we are classless, clever and free, but we're still ******* peasants as far as you see.

It is so frustrating, isn't it? And scary. Who knows what is coming next? The whole world is holding its breath.

Most generations seem to predict and preach extinction, ours is no different. The only comfort I take is true beauty comes out of the uggliest times; it comes out of the scum bucket kiddy fiddler times, the rapist mp in drag times, the dry whore skunk pussy times, the leeches money medicine times and blah blah blah waaah waaah call a waaahmbulance. I was just really angry that an "assisstant manager" (ooh laa dee daa) stated how a cancer on British industrial, residential, european, global economics could in someway be a savour. We can't fix the problems of today by copying the errors of yesterday.
