Is it also true for American accents from the UK's perspective? I imagine a "typical" US accent would be considered sexy but an "extreme" American accent (like Cletus from the Simpsons) would probably seem comical and/or grating. :shy:

I did something like that once and they were flattered, but I've also done it and been completely ignored. So who cares? I would definitely do it. That's what makes the internet both wonderful and terrible: interaction is really cheap and easy.
