This is the kind of interdependence I think is not good, but essential to the traditional relationship model of this society. And I don't see a point in being with (or better: commited to) someone, too - for what? Cheating is only possible in a closed relationship model, therefore not applicable...

I don't really like the idea of closed relationships (or marriage, as well), because I think it has been established out of traditions in our society, and it simply means to limit your "love" to one person, to have only one "partner", which in my opinion is not very natural. I like the metaphor...
