This poem gets me teary eyed hehe... enjoy!

From The Subway

The subway is a dark place under the ground
Hordes of random people completely surround
I listen as the trains screech on the tracks
And as the doors open with creeks and cracks

People exit in a hurry to go
I’ll be the next one to enjoy the show
I enter the train, and grab a rail
So does another as the train, “Sets sail.”

The person seems nervous, and acts so shy
I also say nothing, but I still wonder why
As the train starts, they stumble and trip
So I grab for their arm, and get a good grip

They look at me, giving a shy smile
I release their arm, standing tall and filed
Through this whole mess, their stop is reached
The doors finally open, no longer breached

As they step out, they stumble again
So I help them up like a loyal friend
I don’t care if it’s someone I don’t know
I’d never just leave them there and be that cold

They get outside, and the train doors close.
We wave goodbye, and the train starts to go
Now in my head, a dream of a few
Is that one day, someone would help me get through.

wow that's really good

a theme of helping other people is great theme
"I also say nothing, but I still wonder why" is on of my favorite lines, it made me smile

the feeling of shy smile to another quiet being was well captured and one i can relate to well

Well done satchel, you should try and maybe get it published

i liked it a lot

:D
