I apologise for that, Jimmy hendrix did a lot of experimenting with distortion and stuff,

I'm sorry I read out of a book once that he invented, it might have been worng, so I'm sorry about that, I didn't mean to trick you guys or anything

Actually it's "Jimi".

He did innovate a whole 'lot with the electric guitar. I suppose you could say he invented certain playing styles of the electric guitar.
