I wrote this when I was 12 years old...that's how far back my problems with loneliness and depression go back. Also, I was young enough not to realize and had no Faith about what may be on the other side. "My conscience needing a rest" refers to all the horrible thoughts I was thinking to end my life that would involve hurting others...throwing myself in front of a car, etc.

A Note


Dear Mother:

There's no hope
I just can't take it
Just can't cope
No one knows the way I feel
My problems are so very real
No one can believe or see
The monster that's inside of me
They act as if I'm six years old
That my problems are as scarce as gold
I know they're real
As real as snow
But problems never melt, you know
Mom, I know you've tried your best
But my conscience needs a rest
I love you, but I have to die!
Forgive me, Mom, and please don't cry
Think of this as something good
I feel it's best
I think you should
I need solutions
This is one
That'll do the trick for anyone
There's nothing left
Except for doubt
Taking my life is my only out
There are no "better days ahead"
It will be better when I'm dead.

I can sympathize with you a lot! My depression goes back to when I was really young.

You seem like a really awesome person. And talented.
