My days look like this>>>Wake up, Gym, read books, play pc games, and go out at night. I could also put in some job in my life but it's really hard to find it with my education level which i am also working on and i am 18 years old. And one of former friends just told me that if i dont party atleast once a month i ain't living a life at all? I dont know why that actually got to me but i am feeling bad when i think that i haven't been on a party for atleast last 3 months, and i hate parties. I am feeling right now like i am wasting my life bcs i don't go to parties which i hate in the first place, i am confused!

If you rather like hanging out, more power to you. Personally I love having long walks in the night, around the seashore, the park, the city..

And does he honestly say that you are wasting your life BECAUSE YOU DON'T GO TO PARTIES? LOL :D

I think your former friend is trying to make you feel envy of him. Truth is, his life must be not so full at all if is he's trying to convince you that's the "good life". In the end he's trying to convince himself of that partying is so awesome. Don't buy into his crap. You know that it's nothing special.

>>>Wake up, Gym, read books, play pc games, and go out at night. - this seems pretty a good, balanced day for me. Cheers, well done :)

P.S. Now that was the positive-negative-positive formula. Didn't even use it on purpose.

Self-reflection, hooray!

Heh, sounds like me. :D

"Party atleast once a month i ain't living a life at all?" That's bullcrap. That is what lambs are saying/doing because "everyone is doing it" even though they didn't like it. It's only some kind of a "social status". If you don't party, you don't have a life and blablabla.

In nutshell, you are wasting your life because you don't like they way majority of people are doing. Nope. I think if you are doing the things you like why would it be wasting? Do things that you find interesting, not the things you are "supposed" to do.

Ps. Last time I was at parties was 3 years ago. :) And I don't like parties too.

do what you want to do !

Not what everbody says you should do !

The only thing I'd say is that when you're at the age you're at, you've got opportunities to go out and get boozed up that you might not later on, when you're working full-time and have more responsibilities. If you think you might regret that in future I'd consider that maybe socialising when you have the chance is a good thing.

That doesn't really seem like it applies to you, though, especially if you hate parties. If you don't like doing it, then don't do it. Personally I hate cricket and would consider watching a Test a week wasted, but somebody who loves it would consider that time well spent - what you consider a valuable use of your time is entirely subjective.
