Given that a long-buried need for romantic love has resurged stronger than ever, I am not surprised. I am aching for some genuine interest from a woman and for all of my efforts, I feel no closer to finding love.

I do have family and a few friends but the few times I've mentioned the loneliness feelings, they take it personally and instead of saying "how can I help?" they start reeling off reasons why they can't spend time with me or examples of times when I've been "too busy" for them in the past. So now I don't bother
