I know that film. "It's a mad, mad, mad world" if I'm not mistaken. Good film.

Yup you got it. That and 'Stage Door Canteen' (1943) are the two with
the biggest cast of stars that I can think of and as a point of trivia,
Ethel Merman is in both of them, come to think of it, so is William Demarest.

"The Iron Claw"

But I was really drunk so I only remember the first half.
Have to watch it again.
I'm a big wrestling fan and am very aware of the tragedies that befell the Von Erichs.

The Iron Curtain (1948)

"The story of Soviet cypher-clerk Igor Gouzenko who was posted to the Soviet Embassy in Ottawa, Canada
in 1943 and defected in 1945 to reveal the extent of Soviet espionage activities directed against Canada."

The Shell Seekers (1989) I read the book (by Rosamunde Pilcher) a little while ago and really enjoyed it. I only just discovered there's a film (two actually, another adaptation done in 2006) and watched it last night. It was okay if you're looking for a pleasant story of a lady's life.

Films like this, apocalyptic disaster films, which are totally ridiculous I know, (even tho this one is comedic in nature) make me wonder why the hell News programs keeping on broadcasting. Like, why the heck, unless there was nothing left in their life, would any tv host or presenter hang around their job in the last days of Earth? People still attending gyms, taking courses, etc, when it's all meaningless. Or are they just living in major denial?

Tonally, it's a cross between Scooby Doo and the Evil Dead series. I went to a screening of this film the other day and hearing some of the reactions interested me. Some loved it, while one person sitting behind me said it was the worst thing they had ever seen.
