Advice is easier to give from the Outside

Heh. Whenever other people turn my advice back on me, I always come up with a "that's not an option for me" excuse.

Are we unrealistic when it comes to expectations of a partner?

It's the "grass is always greener" syndrome, maybe? Or the fact that lots of people don't recognize a good thing when they see it. They have all these ideas of what they want, and won't take the bait in front of them, so they condemn themselves to misery by obsessing over things that don't...

    what's the point

While this is somewhat true, I suggest people more often than not make it harder on themselves, rather than life simply being hard.

What do you do for a living?

I work at a movie theatre. It's a small one, so we're not usually that busy, and I get free movies, so all in all it's pretty good for a part time job.

    what's the point

The point is something you have to decide for yourself. Find something you want to achieve, and go for it. If you can't do that, then no one can help you.

Pretended to be somebody I'm not at the bar on Halloween night...

I've found that it sometimes helps to be more of a caricature of myself. If I'm just mildly uptight and negative, people don't like me. But if I'm ridiculously, over-the-top negative, I find I'm very, very popular, even if I don't exactly 'fit in'.

What crucial skills do you need to live on your own?

It would be recommended: 1. Making your own food 2. Basic handyman type skills. Which ones exactly depend on where you are living and if you have a car. 3. You'd probably want to be able to sew, though that's not strictly necessary. 4. Money management, of course. 5. And the important one would...

Might never see my gf again :(

At least you are able to stay in contact. Keep your hopes up. This doesn't need to be permanent. At least it's not one of those crazy, "I need to go find myself and travel the world and I don't know when I'll be back" kind of deals. She's got a sound reason and as long as she doesn't skip out...

    Gonna be alone on Halloween...

I always work on the holidays. Then again, I work at a movie theatre, so I don't expect too many customers tonight. That'll be nice.

What will you save if your house gonna on fire?

I think I would take the fire. Problem solved. :P Okay, seriously answer? Assuming all living beings leave the house on their own power, I'd take my laptop. Lot of important stuff on that hard-drive.

    The New Thread of Novelty

Hi. I'm new (obviously), and here because I'm a lonely person (obviously again). Most anything you need to know about me is my profile, but the rundown is I'm a 22-year-old Creative Writing major from Southeast Minnesota that likes art, philosophy, writing, and music (and if that's not a recipe...
