i went back for a family reunion about 2 years ago and a town that i thought was flourishing in my teens is practically a modern day ghost town. its quite a salt of the earth place.

its difficult for me to go there, because the memories make me so sad.. (happy and sad)

and there's a reason its called 'Big Sky Country'. if you go, you'll understand.

whenever i go there and travel back to Minnesota i begin to feel depressed, imprisoned, and closed in.

there are so many songs that remind me of Montana, and this is one of them. (i don't mean anything by it, the song reminds me that's all

I got a taste of what big sky country must look like when we took a cross-country trip from New England to Colorado some years ago. It makes me feel a wee bit agoraphobic with all that horizon stretched way out. Give me closely wooded hills and valleys all snuggled up against me.
