My dad retired at 45 after 25 years of service as a fireman, full benefits. The way it used to work back then was, he answered an add in the paper and became a fireman. Now if I want to do the same thing I need 3 years of college, 3 of a special fireman school, plus experience, plus it's jammed pack and they only take like, 100 a year. That's for those who actually find jobs as firefighters, some end up doing something else because of lack of employment.

Sometimes I hate him so much lol.

I think I am realising that I have a love-hate relationship with my job. While I'm hating on the workload etc, I have some really nice clients who just make me smile. I've had a few showing me concern for seeing that I've been so busy lately, and it just made me wonder, if my clients worry about my well-being upfront.... something's wrong.
