okay so recently we had to get a new hardrive for our computer and microsoft word wasn't installed on it. And i've been having trouble trying to reinstall it. Someone told me i should google open office and i'd be able to download it. So i've been trying that but i get one of those pop up thingies that says " to protect your security internet explorer has blocked this site from downloading files to your computer"

So i'm not really sure what i should do, can someone help please?

is open office safe to download onto my computer? i was pretty sure it was but i don't want to take the chances right now.

But since i'm in school i'm always writting esdsays actually i need to write one for psyche thats due friday :(

so if anyone could give me some advice that would be great please

Yea from what I've seen, it is a safe file but I would make sure that you get it from the original site not some other place that is just offering it

Also, I'd recommend you download firefox, internet explorer has a tendency to be more dangerous to use than internet explorer and internet explorer seems really paranoid about security and it annoys me lol

In case you're ever in a situation where you don't have access to any Office software, and need it urgently, you should not forget about Google Docs. I use Google Docs extensively now, and it works fine for essays. I no longer have to carry any portable storage media with me anymore - it's all stored on Google's servers, and I can access it from any computer that has a web browser and a connection to the internet.
