Jeff Hanneman dies at 49

Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed away yesterday due to liver failure. Out of the pan and into the fire... he just beat necrotizing fasciitis on his arm and was recovering to record another album. I know what I'll be listening to all day.

I had the same initial reaction when I saw that subject on another forum. I hoped it was another one of those dead celebrity hoaxes.

Around 20 years ago, Slayer were one of my favourite bands. Sad day for thrash metal fans.
