Hello
I'm ~40km NW of Hamilton.

In a final - well maybe not final  - act of desperation on this site, I'm wondering if anyone would actually like to connect.
I'm looking for supportive friends, phone pals, or activity partners, male or female, young or old.

I'm mid 50s, but get along fabulously with anyone with similar values from 25 to 80. I worked at a university, where age is not an issue in relating.

I had a number of friends in my area a year ago. Most have dropped out due to illness (and worse), marital change, moving, change in employment hours, etc., & in one case a toxic friendship I needed to end.
No relatives either here in Ontario, so it's often very lonely.

For a few months I posted here, but PMs ended abruptly. I think some people just love seeing their posts, but don't actually want to connect. Then again, what do I know?

Just thought I'd give it a shot.
olg
Post or PM me.

(Disclaimer: I'm not looking for a relationship, I'm not gay (if that matters - seems these days people ask), & I'm not looking to complicate anyone's life. I want my friends to have other friends too.)

Guess it was 'final' after all. Can't believe I'd get lonelier on a site devoted to loneliness.
cheers

seriously, it IS kinda surprizing :(

Nothing ventured nothing lost. I'm making a little more headway locally anyway. Internet support-group meetups have usually been a mixed bag for me anyway. Meeting real-life people through common-interest groups has worked far better. Nothing really replaces meeting people face to face.
take care!!
