The Dark Glass

[Midnight Sky]

~The dark glass~

It's another dark hour,
and I stare through a glass darkly,
with no light to shine the night,

Before and again, I've experienced this,
The prison with walls my eyes cant see beyond,
My eyes fill with tears in the tyranny of fear,

My face, marred with worries,
staring into the glass darkly,
a reflection of myself, staring back at me,

Before and again, I've experienced this,
The pain of my tattered body,
Silent in the day, violent in the night,

The eyes of the eagle staring sharply and intently,
the curse of the broken-hearted soul cries out
casting the judgment of pain upon me,

My heart which ails me, tells me its time,
staring into the glass darkly,
reach out and grab my sins and toss them into the darkness,

It tells me wait..
the eyes of the eagle staring angrily and intently,
stand at the mountain,

Punished by the curse,
judged by the eagle,
trapped inside the glass so dark,

my heart tells me to wait..
wait for the deity to return,
with the light of the new dawn..
