Sometimes just having someone there for you when you are going through something means a lot to you. When have you been influenced by the presence of something/someone?

My chess teacher. The late Joe Harris was much more than just a chess teacher. He was like a 2nd father to me. His presence was a calming and motivational feeling. It made me want to be a better person and player. I really miss him.

I took a military course as a junior marine and our instructor exercised before us, then exercised with us, and beat us in every event. He's 36 and we're 29 and below. Very influential man.

I thought you meant by the power of presence to be something supernatural like sensing G_d. Used to have it and at times can still sense G_d. Mostly during prayer though.

At the darkest moments of my life, there has always been someone there for me. Always. To many too count. I am grateful to all of them.
