Hi Everyone, This thread probably won't go far, but I figured if there is one thing someone has to say that helps with weight loss that is different that what is usually heard or read, it may be worth it.

I'm first, of course:

If you can't finish everything on your plate, or finish your sandwich, etc. put it away for another time or THROW IT OUT.

It may be a waste some may argue, but it won't be on YOUR WAIST!

If your going out for dinner ask to have half of it packaged to go before it comes to the table ... rather than trying to not pick at it waiting for the container

read labels ... portion size

Ride a bike instead of driving everywhere. Good for your health and the enviroment. :)

Make sure your daily caloric intake is higher than your basal metabolic rate, but lower than your total daily energy expenditure. Unless your metabolism is screwed up, that's literally a 100% sure-fire way to lose weight, assuming you're motivated enough to do the calculations and monitor what you eat closely.

Maybe isn't news to you, maybe you already knew, but it's still the best way.

Replace the cream in your coffee with cocoanut oil(Don't buy MCT oil and butter, it's more expensive for no reason.) and whip up in blender.

Try replacing some food with vegetarian equivalents, this also works quite well for some processed foodstuffs. Lower calories and fats but still high in protein and fibre.
