Just type what kind of music you listen to and see who relates to your taste in music :)
I mostly listen to EDM but also have some Rock, Rap and Reggae on my playlist :p

I like a lot of things from classical to opera to classic rock to folk, some country and the genre list goes on and on and on. One more example would be big band or ragtime. But i do not listen to rap though.

Y'all need to listen to EDM, I'm telling you people :p

Most of the time, I am listening to what you'd call "progressive rock", but I also like to hear what's new on the radio.

I love polka. Too many genres. Too many answers.

Does EDM stand for electronic dance music?

that sounds cool.

Metal and it's subgenres for the most part. Some electronic, ambient and jazz on very rare occasion. Right now, blasting Vader at a decently high volume.

Stoner Rock mostly. Not really popular stuff around here.
But apart from that: 90's Alternative Rock and Hardcore Punk, Psychedelic Rock, Noise and Experimental Rock, some Industrial, some Old School Hip Hop...

Lots of folks back in school days listened to EDM and all kinds of Electronic Music. The other half was more into Ska. Never got into either of that though.

Yeah it does, and years ago it used to be quite a literal term. If it was made on drum machines and samplers in the tempo range of about 130-180bpm (or possibly higher if Gabber Techno etc was included) then it was encompassed in the EDM spectrum, whatever genre it actually was (Techno, House, Hard House, Garage, Drum and Bass, Trance, whatever).

These days though people seem quite ignorant about it and just think "oh it hasn't got guitars in it and cool kids listen to it so it's EDM, that's what it is!" without actually knowing that a huge portion of the artists I mentioned are Drum and Bass producers, and Drum and Bass is electronic dance music.

yes, EDM stands for electronic dance music. it's an easy way to group things up. instead of saying 'I listen to House, Electro-House, Progressive-House', you can simply say you listen to EDM. I don't listen to all EDM genres, the exceptions are Techno, Glitch-Hop, Psy Trance and others lookalike. The main for me is Trance, it takes me to another level. Then comes Pro House, Electro House, Dubstep. Many people claim it's junkie people music but I have to disagree 'cause this kind of music started way back in the 80s and a lot of old people still listen to it so their argument is invalid. at some part, of course. you just have to listen to EDM, there's no other way :p
