“We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.”

Truly words of wisdom.

We can't change where we've been, and we can't change what others do along life's journey. We can only decide how we will react.

Yup.

That's pretty much my guiding life-perspective. A person can be either happy or unhappy in ANY situation. What matters is our own outlook and reaction to life... not what life itself gives us.

*HUG*

Thanks for reminding us of this, Eve. :)

When we feel anger or hate in our hearts and direct that anger or hate at other people, it somehow gives us a sense of satisfaction or relief.

We must be cautious though, we must remember that when we feel anger or hate in our hearts, the thing we are affecting, the thing that we are inflicting upon, the thing that changes, is us.

Anger derives from lack of control. Once we accept what we cannot control, anger will no longer be as much of a problem and we can begin healing.
