When I was in my late 20's at the end of a long term relationship.  I fell in love with someone else (finally understood what all those love songs were about) and broke off the relationship. At that moment, I knew.  I was happy to leave the old and happy to start a new relationship that would last 3 years but knew in the back of my mind that I would end up alone.  Still I took the chance because I wanted to be able to say that I fell in love once in my life.  Even at the cost of being along for the rest of it.

Neither do I!

It did get me into the English countryside though (the South-West of England).

I loved it so much (the landscape in this part of the world) that I returned to live here with my husband.

:)

I was barely 20 when my social life simply went away. I haven't got to hang out with friends more than just a few times in a couple years. :(
