In a dark pit somewhere...
I'll swallow these pills
And won't give a ****
Numb that which defines me
And hide who I am

Just give me a reason
To guard them with lies
Protecting their innocence
With wool on their eyes

'Cause I'm more than a zombie
In sync with your drum
I've written my own song
A mask shattering anthem

Is it 'cause I'm not the same?
'Cause I'm different than you?
'Cause I don't do the things
That you tell me to do?

Well thank God I'm not
A clone of your form
For one day you'll crack
Your facade will be torn

And as emptiness evelopes
All you thought to be true
Just remember one thing
I'm nothing like you...

that's a good poem fluff

good concept,

the message is very powerful

kudos

:)

Good poem man, the first stanza plucked my strings and bent my notes.

Thanks Jesse, I appreciate it. I'm trying my best to write poems that actualy mean someting to someone. :)

I find the more you write, the better you get at conveying your thoughts and feelings through impersonal lines. In this way, you express how you feel while making it completely relatable to the public.
