if you could own and animal as a pet, what would you choose?

Umm, I don't have the right to "own" any other living thing, but I would love and cherish being friends with a sentient, compassionate dragon.

(BTW - The above idea would make a great children's book for anyone out there who likes writing that sort of thing.)

I know what I would get. A siberian tiger or a nice affectionate dog that doesn't have to lick me to show me it's happy to see me, especially after licking its butt (which they do and is so gross to me).

A Wolf.

I don't know how many people here are familiar with "The Phantom", a comic book character created by Lee Falk. He had a trained wolf and a horse. Now I'm not fond of horses (they scare me) but a wolf like The Phantom's Devil would be extremely rad/cool/groovy/dope.
