Is www.optoutprescreen.com legit?

I thought it was (I arrived to that site from a considerably well-known source, and I assume a well-known source isn't going to link anyone to a scam website), but after hearing this and that I'm becoming paranoid about it being a phishing site.

What should I do if I already did give out my SSN to someone who shouldn't know that kind of information?!

Really can't add anything. Like you many seem to feel that it must be legit based on the places that have linked to it. A few people have claimed to have used it with good results. I don't know these people so i can't speak for their claims.


Fraud Guide claims they are legit. I don't know Fraud Guide either.

I would guess that you are safe but i really could not back that up with anything solid.

So as i said, i really can't add anything.
