This is a simple little poem I wrote some time ago when I was agonizing over the hurt that one "hunk of flesh" puts on another.
Oh What A World
If every man, to make his mark on this mistrusting world,
would meet his fellow travelers honestly, with arms unfurled,
his every word to soothe an ache,
his hands held out for goodness sake,
with heart to rather give than take,
oh what a world ‘twould be.
