Online friendships: Less Lonely or More?

I think it's more lonely, because humans are often such tangible creatures, and it's hard to make a real relationship with someone just based on talking online. Physical presence means a lot, and while I think it's completely possible to make good friends online, I think it's kind of lonely that...

    I need a friend

My dear sir or madam, I can't believe you actually dedicated your username to loving Gauss, the bane of my existence, the man who's ridiculous formulas caused me to receive an A instead of an A+ in college physics. XP If you want to talk math/physics, feel free to PM me. We'll see just how well...

Does anyone have difficulty coming to terms with your past?

Well, everyone's living a lie. No need for you to beat yourself up over trying to maintain a good image. Who are you trying to impress though, yourself or the people around you? I did the same thing, I tried really hard to create an image of someone who has a life, wasted a lot of money on...

    looking over the edge

I like risks, so I would say go for the broke. :D No point heading towards a dead end. On another note, it's summer, so go out and enjoy the sun, even if it's on your own. :]

What do you think of this statement?

I'm not sure friendship classifies as a responsibility. You should be friends because you want to be friends, not because you have a duty to be friends. You have the freedom and opportunity to take friendship to different levels, but you shouldn't be responsible for someone else.

Women - What completely turns you off?

Two words: man boobs. I don't need an inferiority complex, kthxbye. :]

    i don't have anybody.

I do have to say, those people on facebook are just trying to make themselves look good. There's nothing meaningful behind their updates that probably talk about the latest viral youtube video or wherever they went that day. I don't think you should let stuff like that depress you too much...

I think I shall immerse myself in summer classes because there's no one and nothing else to spend my summer with.

    Just Plain Lonely

Well hello there. I'll be the first to admit I've never had any serious trauma in my life that made me the way I am today. I was simply born with an inclination towards the antisocial. Perhaps I am a misanthropist, but I tend to not like a lot of the people I meet. After years of being a loner...

The one doing all the work?

Oh I totally know what you mean. Like you're just sort of the background friend who they contact when they need you, and the rest of the time they're off being bff and only including you if they remember you exist. At one point you'll realize it's not your job to do the work and that you want to...

I know what makes people popular!

Well, while you're view is a bit extreme, you have essentially grasped the essence of popularity as someone who can ride the opinions of the masses. The ability to act like they care about crap is usually how they reach the popular stage. Of course, I won't say this is true of everyone up there...
