    Thoughts on Giving Up

I disagree that there is no unconditional love. I have unconditional love for every person and animal on this planet - except one ... myself. You are right in that I have surrendered my life, my power, to others. Thus the reason I have given up. My reason for living is to give love to others...

    Thoughts on Giving Up

Just re-read my post from several years ago making me feel disappointed and depressed again. Nothing has changed. I still don't feel I'm worthy of anyone's unconditional love yet I'm still hoping it will happen. Loneliness consumes me yet I make sure everyone else only see my "untroubled" persona.

How many people over 20 are still virgins?

It's refreshing to know there are others out there. Just turned 40 and I too am still a virgin. Still looking for that meaningful relationship. In today's society it is extremely difficult to think you're "normal" for waiting.

    is loneliness an age thing?

I've been struggling with this issue myself. I just turned 40 and find people at my age are either in a relationship or were in a relationship and are now bitter toward the opposite sex. Thoughts on Giving Up

Let's start with my philosophy of the universe. Time is a necessary illusion. Everything that will happen is already determined. We just have to reach the moment in time for the future to become the present and just as quickly become the past. With this philosophy in mind I find myself thinking...

    Places to Meet

No offense, but it is REALLY obvious none of you have never lived in a really small town. The closest thing to a real city would be about 1 1/2 hours away. They only gym is in the school and the only people that go there are high school students. There is a park, but the only people that go...

    Places to Meet

I'm a self confessed work-a-holic (because it is the one place I feel comfortable) but I don't have anyone who wants to invest additional time with me. It's not that I'm not personable (in fact I'm well liked by everyone I meet), I'm just extremely shy and don't know what to say in social...

    Assistance Appreciated

Let's just say I teach computers. Although I feel I do a lot of other jobs because I just can't say 'No' when others ask for help.

    Assistance Appreciated

I’ve never posted anything on the Internet before, but after being depressed for over three months I’ve finally gotten to a point where I need to talk to someone who will listen, so I guess this is the best place to introduce myself and what led me here: I am a 37 year old male who has no...
