What are you thinking right now?

87 deg. Fahr outside today...Christ's testicles, it's no weather to be rasping & filing oak in. I should just crash after taking my blanket from the dryer...Wash off, then sleep until this evening. It'll be cooler outside then. Oh ****. :( Sorry to read this, 'rundi. I recall previous...

What are you thinking right now?

Medical expenses for her...they will ruin me... May whatever gods there are torment your soul for all eternity, old woman. Apparently you only brought me into this world just to drive me into the ******* ground. When you fell & sustained that hairline fracture in your hip so long ago, I...

If you took me for a walk, where would we go?

Down by the river, where it runs through town. It's officially called "Lady Bird Lake" but, in reality, it's the Colorado River. This time of year we would see a few canoeists, kayakers, & SUP paddlers leaving the docks for their fun on the water. Depending on which side of the river we were on...

Type Some Lyrics from the Song You're Listening To Now

Well if you're ever in Houston Lord, you better do right Ya better not gamble And ya better not fight 'Cause the sheriff will grab ya And the boys will bring a down The next thing you know, boy Ohhh, you're prison-bound

    Bob's rants & randomness

*lol* What did he expect? Home Depot is a typical big-box chain store. You're not gonna find too much truly knowledgeable staff in such places. They work for minimum wage or close to it, & get shuffled from one department to another. You don't amass competent, useful staff with such practices.

Have you ever sat and thought, "wow....how did I get to this point in my life?"

Yes, once in a while. I try not to brood about it too much. As has been said here, wondering why your life didn't work out the way it did is common to most of us. As the old saying goes, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." It is indeed more sensible to not dwell on the...

    Feeling Guilty For Being Judgmental

Rodent's reply is a good one. There is no reason to feel guilty about judging other people, it's something we all do. "Judge not, lest ye be judged" is one of the most pointless sentences ever written. You've already been judged by others & you are being judged every time you interact with other...

What are you feeling, hoping, thinking, or remembering right now?

Last night...was great. Older women are the best. ;) In seats on a train isn't the best place for it, though...Oy, my back!

    what did you do today?

Got home today, at the end of my trip to northern California. Amtrak is good as mass transit goes but travelling by train will take it out of you. I was gonna take a bath but the tub is dirty from a dye job I did before leaving...so I just crashed instead.

how many people thought of ending ur own life?

There is one reason I can think of for suicide which I consider valid: Being terminally ill. If you have malignant cancer, or have just been DXed with Alzheimer's or some other disease for which there is no cure, & which guarantees weeks or months of utter agony, why would you want to stick...

There can't be too many stupid people...

A bit more accurate version of the above: An intelligent person is someone who is aware of the extent of his own ignorance. It's a partial definition but one I agree with...the more you learn, the more you realize how much there is left to learn.

There can't be too many stupid people...

Good sir, it's Facebook. Social media is an expression of--& a product consumed by--the great unwashed. You cannot realistically expect to not see any inane comments, or for such a comment to go without popular approval. Twitter is even worse, from what I've seen of it.

others' lack of empathy toward non-human animals

Well, hey, people in general are that well disposed to whatever education you suggest, obviously. After countless wars in Europe--the Reformation, Counter-Reformation, etc.--the era of secularism dawned with the ideas of human rights, regardless of race, color or creed. The US went to war with...

how many people thought of ending ur own life?

Most ways to die involve suffering, but some certainly have more entertainment value... http://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=1qLUs2op3mc

how many people thought of ending ur own life?

I know how I'd like to die: Of a heart attack, while in the arms of a curvy, nubile redhead. Preferably at the moment of orgasm.

What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

You'll get the more adventurous customers. One brewery in my town likes to experiment, too. One of their batches involved burnt beef tips. Seriously.

    Craft Still Going

Thanks! I make canes, these days....future projects will include a forkstaff plane & probably a few small boxes. And collapsible furniture, & a couple bookshelves.

    Craft Still Going

In the afternoon, the sun beats the patio Chisels, mallet, a saw you can’t get at the hardware store Metallic ringing of the workbench The chips fall & the sawdust flies Denim shirt, do-rag, long pants to block the sun, Keep my pale head from turning beet red Sweating in the glare, sawdust in my...
