Lovely, lovely, lovely. <3

Thanks Eve!

It was an exercise in painting in monochromes that we did at the art group I go to. I often don't do the exercises because I find them uninteresting, (and a bit of a waste of time,) but every now and again I think I should show willing, so I did this one.

I was quite pleased with it, on the whole.

And it means I can skip the next exercise or two ( or three) if I don't like them... One has to make a concession or two sometimes, hmm?

exercise in calmness.. :) very very nice

Thanks Peaches :)

I was just contemplating that both you and Eve found it calm.

Interestingly ( well a bit, possibly) is that the grey does not come from mixing black and white, which tends to be a no-no in art circles. The grey comes from mixing burnt umber, crimson, dark blue, an atom of green, and varying amounts of white.

In other words, a bit like emotions, there might be a lot going on but if you pay attention to what you are doing with it you can still end up with something calm, rather than a dogs breakfast of colours ....

Just a thought....
