A definite disconnect

Hi, I'm Laura. I'm 20, and going to school in Georgia. Right now I feel this crippling loneliness even though I'm at a college surrounded by other people. I like people, I like being around them and talking to them and socializing, but recently I've been having trouble actually connecting with others. I just skimmed the boards a few minutes ago and signed up, this place seems like a very friendly and supportive group

Hey Laura, I just joined the community yesterday too. Do you at least enjoy what you're learning at college? I never made friends in college and now I'm in my first year of grad school and was hoping to make connections, but some things never change.
