I think appearances do matter a bit. Remember, people will judge you by your company. So I tend to prefer to be around people who take a little pride in their appearance.
I think it's funny how so many women are interested in blondes. I'm not attracted to blondes because I'm blonde. It would be like dating my brother! LOL.
If it's just friendship you can have that with no physical attraction at all. If it's a romantic relationship looks don't matter so much but chemistry does and that varies from person to person what is attractive to them.
