Hello all.
I am a 16 year old male, currently residing in the UK (originally from in South Africa, if you like useless tidbits of information
).
I stumbled upon these forums a long while ago - probably back in '09 - and, although I can't remember what I googled, I came across Sanal's "Emotional Stories" thread. Which is the very same thread I linked to someone today, and upon which I decided to make an account
I hadn't really thought of it before today, but I've been lonely all my life. It's not that I've been living an underprivileged life - I've always had at least a friend or two, I'm not poor, nor stupid (if I may say so). Yet, I've never felt like I've fit in. I've been bullied at school for just about everything, small things usually. The few people I can call my friends I hold on to with bare threads, and truth be told, I've only had one friend who's been with me for more than 4 years.
I seem to prefer sitting in a dark room, on my own to socialising - even if I don't like it this way.
Recently, I've gone to see a counselor a couple of times, and she agrees with what I previously thought - even in the first session she said that there was very likely something wrong with me, beyond teenage hormones.
So, there you have it; the summary of me. I hope I'll enjoy my stay here
