I bet I already know the answer to this for most people. MP3 and earbuds right? Now here's the second question: Am I the only person on Earth that still uses the classic portable CD player? I notice everyone at my school has some sort of Ipod or MP3 or something like that, except for me.
I stick with the CD mainly because they're more reliable and better quality. One of my friends actually gave me this topic basically after he told me to "get with the program" and get an MP3. I decided to handle the dispute my way. I basically swapped the cords between our listening devices and our outputs and he IMMEDIATELY noticed a significate increase in quality. Now I use a very expensive set of headphones and even with their high quality his MP3 sounded like absolute crap! And this was pretty good metal too! It was very garbled and distorted. He said it was the same song but I couldn't believe it. Any irony there? How my little relic of a listening device could best his MP3? I tried this with 3 other friends and it ended up the same. I don't know if my headphones messed with the sound but I know that I noticed a decrease in quality. Also am I one of the few people that still use headphones?
I love headphones, they're better quality and alot more comfortable. Earbuds hurt my ears and sound terrible for me (could just be me maybe?). Granted they are alot bigger and alot more bulky but when I hang them from my neck they weigh basically nothing. Not to mention that with a hoodie I can conceal my headphones to make it look like they're not even there. I walked around my school with my headphones hidden and not one person noticed the headphones I hid within my hoodie.
Now remember that this isn't an argument at all. I just want to see if there's anyone out there who can relate. Or maybe come up with a valid reason why earbuds and MP3s are better (without necessarily arguing about it...)
Oh and to put up a final topic of interest for music, I also tend to listen to trance (techno in broader terms). Love it all the way, and it sounds just amazing with my headphones on. You can post whatever kind of music you like. I want to hear the opinions of others! Feel free to post what you like!
