How I view my Big Prblem

Hi guys, my name is Jack, I am 19 year old.
Basicaly I am the kind of guy that talks a lot, can meet a lot of people and get a few amound a friend, but always end up losing them.
Mostly if I meet 20 people at school, I can probably end up with 2 friend at the end. My biggest problem is, if any of you guys know what ANIME is, a japenese type of cartoon. I am so fascinated with the girl drawing there, I only want to date anime girl, I know it seems really dumb, I starting to fall off from reality. I start to get really depressed, I always think about the anime perfect high school life and how the main character is always the perfect chick magnet and I find the drawing so perfect that im kinda in love with anime woman. Lol this sounds really retarded and you guys are prolly laughing at me right now. At one point my personal thing only get hard when I see anime girl! It doesnt even get hard even by seeing a really hot pornstar. Im starting to get scared that there is a big psychological problem in my head. Im getting so lonely that I only want to spend watching anime in my computer. I dont even want to talk to my several friend anymore and I dream at night that I would live in a anime world myself.

I can fully understand your problem. It's great that your an outgoing type of person!

But, about wanting to date only anime girls. I feel the same way, as to only wanting to date anime guys. It seems like they are the only perfect lover one can have, right? I like the personality, the way they act, everything. I never try to get a boyfriend, and I tell everyone I only like anime guys. It sounds funny, but its true. But also, I think that maybe just right now we haven't met the right people.. I believe one day you'll meet a girl that resembles the way an anime girl would act. I also wish I was in an anime world.. but, those things can't be real if we even wish. The real world can be just as great, you just have to view it as that. But, if liking anime girls makes you lonely and depressed, I would try to quit. But if it makes you happy.. then don't throw that away. It's okay to love anime, but be sure there is a world other than that, and only in the real world can someone make you truly happy.

i don't know anything about anime, but to be honest, i do not think you are alone in how you are feeling, if you think about it, so many people get caught up with celebrities and the latest pop group or singer, they will idiolise them, try to be them, think that they would make the perfect friend or partner, so its kinda the same thing....

i think the thing is to try and not get caught up in painting this picture and letting it be the be all and end all...i think you are starting to take the first steps in coming to terms that its not real which is good

in terms of the lonliness perhaps you could use the anime to find some new friends, find people who share your interests and get together to watch a few shows / movies and chat through it, that way you can still watch it but at least get you out and socialising with some other people...just a suggestion in any case!

Boys in Books are just better

I love boys in books haha.

However, I think it is important to be able to distinguish fantasy from reality. Boys in books will always SEEM perfect, but even they make mistakes within the story sometimes. And lets face it, people in real life are different than those in fiction.

No one is perfect. You arent perfect, so why are you asking for a perfect girl??

The reality is that when you meet someone you will have to accept their faults.

you just have to learn to love them anyway

this made me laugh quite hard (pun unabashedly intended). if you ever get you hands on anime porn, you're messed (pun also deliberately intended).

Well, if nothing else, you gave me a good chance to throw some puns around and have a good laugh. For that I thank you. That said, however, there is a bit of a problem in letting what you read in some comic book have so much control over your life. My prescription:

1. Get out more,

but perhaps more importantly,

2. Expand your reading material. Read literature that is rooted in the actual human condition, with protagonists that are more realistic and human. Dostoevsky, Kafka, Camus, Fitzgerald, and even -to some extent- Ayn Rand, are good authors to start with.

There are a lot of people there who share the same love for anime.
