If I am going to be drowned -- if I am going to be drowned -- if I am going to be drowned, why, in the name of the seven mad gods, who rule the sea, was I allowed to come thus far and contemplate sand and trees?

Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death. Anais Nin

Maybe your gods want you to move away from the water, and live and learn amongst the sand and trees.

Good luck with your journey.

I like the way you expressed that, Liapos. I can definately relate to your feelings, I wish I had an answer. :(

...so we have a chance, however small, to shape the sand into an enduring symbol of our short existance and climb the trees in order to look down upon the world around us, before the tide drags us back into the sea.

...although I honestly think the sea would spit me back out. lol

Cool original post...made me stop and think. :)

Sorry, this is a quote from "The Open Boat" by Stephen Crane. xD

No matter, though!
