not over anything big...im just frustrated. i have to turn in my paper tomorrow and i cant write it. its on evolution. i just dont get it. i dont get why just because two proteins have similar sequence of amino acids in one part that they are related. i just dont get it. why does it have to be that just beacuse they are similar they are related? i dont get it. GRrrrrrrr.

hmm.

evolution is based on the consumption of nutrients. you are what you eat. i dont know the theme of the paper or the details about acid and proteins. i know enzymes have accelerators, which is suppose to be the spark of life. when i think of evolution, i think of pottengers cats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_M._Pottenger,_Jr. i dont support the man as his motives were animal abuse, and i believe are illegal now. but he documented evolution, officially, from life to death.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enzyme
Enzymes are proteins that catalyze (i.e., increase the rates of) chemical reactions.[1][2] In enzymatic reactions, the molecules at the beginning of the process are called substrates, and the enzyme converts them into different molecules, called the products.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sucrose (sugar ; remember, are what you eat.)
Acidic hydrolysis can be used to convert sucrose into glucose and fructose. But hydrolysis is so slow that solutions of sucrose can sit for years with negligible change. If the enzyme sucrase is added, however, the reaction will proceed rapidly.

note enzyme sucrase (not sucrose) they normally share similar names as the enzymes are paired with what they work with...

All I can say is goggle, goggle, goggle and see if you can find a forum or information about.

Sorry to hear your stressed out.

thanks guys. i googled a ton of stuff. i was up until 5am trying to write the stupid thing. I know what "they" say about evolution, it just doesnt make sense to me. I had to turn in the paper today. i never did understand it, but i just regurgitated what "they" said. part of it was on the evolution of protein folding, which i did finally find an article that could explain why two proteins that have the same folding patter but are in different species could share a common ancestor. but i never did find anything about why amino acid sequences would share a common ancestor. just the whole natural selection and genetic recombination stuff. c'est la vive.
