What causes an instant dislike to a person? is it their mannerism- attitude- size- looks?

Self-righteousness, cowardice, bullying. Social Darwinist/eugenicist/hierarchical views.

People that love the way things are, because they just so happen to be good at, and enjoy, the "right" stuff, which often results in them having no empathy, understanding, or compassion for people that fall outside of that.

Sycophants, toadies, ass-kissers, and brown-nosers also make my list.
