I love this poem. I've been really impressed with my writing skill as of late, as well as the themes in my poetry. I really hope you all enjoy it!
Masked
You wear a mask with no mouth and no eyes
Describe yourself to others, be truthful or lie
The mask is as white as a ghost’s blood
It’s covered with nothing, but it’s somehow enough
The mask completely covers your head
Talk in whispers, with nothing said
You can almost feel the looks you get
As others step back to your unknown threat
They don’t care about what lies behind
Weather the face be cruel or kind
They only care to see the crust
It’s their decision, mystery by lust
Your eyes may be covered, but you still see
The dark-selves others try to be
They hide behind their own special masks
Hiding away with the hope that it lasts
You must believe that the joy is there
It’s like oxygen mixed in with the air
So remove your mask and show your face
Allow a smile to takes its place
