Another poem!

It's a rare option, only real in dreams
So far and unknown, impossible it seems
As you awake, returned to the day
The morning passes down and through your way

You feel the kind presence of the cool morning wind
Around your neck and down your chin
It's a welcoming feeling as you feel half-asleep
But out of no where, you begin to weep

"Why does the morning come" you ask
"Why does it stay, what makes it last?"
Sometimes you want to just sleep forever
If only the morning could somehow be severed

It's like a goal, an eternal gift
Achieving it could give quite a large lift
But it's impossible to stop the immortal day
It really doesn't matter if you hate it that way

You whip away you miserable tears
It feels like they have been falling for years
As you do, you feel a hand on your shoulder
So gentle, yet so strong like a boulder

"Your wish isn't always best" they speak
You listen closely with tears on your cheeks
"My wish is my own, you can't change that!"
You stare in their eyes as you strongly snap back

"You are my friend so here's my wish
that one day, you can get over this.
One day you will wake gladly wake up
With a smile, asking the world, 'what's up?'

It is possible, you ridiculous fool!
You are using yourself like a pathetic tool!
Just look to the day, is it really that bad?
No, it's not! The site makes me glad!"

You look for a moment, trying to understand
With your shoulder still covered and held by their hand
They seem so convincing, maybe they are right
You smile and look towards the morning light

"I hope there is no night, tonight"
