Moving on...

Hey guys. Just needed some advice from people who've relocated. I've got a new job in a different city and am moving in January. I'm really worried I won't make new friends. It took me a year to meet the few friends I have now, and I don't think I could survive in a new place without someone to talk to. If anyone has an ideas on how to meet people I'd be grateful to hear them.

If it's a big city, use a site like meetup.com or something like that to meet others that you have something in common with.
Befriend your co-workers, be friendly to your neighbors. Get involved in something that you care about.

And realize that you'll probably have to be lonely for a time while you adjust to all the changes and accept that instead of fear it.

couldn't you still keep in touch with the friends you've already made?

as to how to make new friends.. er.. don't really know sorry..
