(Deep breath) I'm new here, and am not really up with forum etiquette, so I hope it's alright I jump on in and post a question.
I broke up with my husband a year ago (huh, exactly a year ago today! )
One thing I found hard was listening to the radio. Even now, every song seems to be about being in love, or falling in love... Is that all there is to sing about?
I can handle listening to most love songs now, but back then it was AWFUL - hearing how happy everyone else seemed to be while my world was crashing down around me.
So, I would like to know, from our collective pool of vast knowledge, what songs can you think of are catchy, modern and don't deal with love?
At the moment all I can think of are older songs, like 'Surfin' Safari' by the Beach Boys and a fave of mine, 'There is no depression in New Zealand' by Blam Blam Blam.
