Part of that was because things ended suddenly and without closure, so I'm glad you got a chance to talk things through and say goodbye

Yes, that's what I was thinking too but forgot to mention - closure. I think this is quite important for most people to be able to move on with their lives. Sucks when you don't have any closure.

Thanks Solivagant, I'm sorry you've been through a similarly tough experience,

Being able to have the closure has made such a difference, I will always love him but I accept that he cannot cope with how deeply emotionally effected us being together brings. It's important to me that he is happy, whatever that entails, I cannot bear to sense him in turmoil or misery, & the same applies to the other side of things, I know that if he senses I am happy deep within it will help him be at home within himself.
