What makes it special where youre from?

I always wanted to travel and see the world. One of the best things ever is learning something new about a place or culture. So i thought maybe id start this thread and see what there was to see.


List something you feel that makes where you live at special.

It can be anything, plants and animals, famous actors, wine, food, music, serial killers lol, bobo the magic flying goat. I mean whatever you got, throw it up here. Pictures would be great if you got any too.

It can be silly serious or anything in between.

(Ill see what i can find around here but the only thing i can think of is red mud atm haha)

This is a terrible picture because I couldn't find my good camera this morning (even though it was sitting right in front of me, as my 5-year old pointed out the moment the deer went up the road!), but this makes the place I live special. I live in a fairly small town in the Kootenays, BC, Canada. Lovely place, just moved from Vancouver Island a few months ago and so happy we moved. Love the snow, and the deer roaming through town make it even more special.

and the Rocky Mountains too...(another bad pic, sorry! I should post some good ones.)
